Take part in the Intergenerational Climate Dialogue
Our partner ‘Promontório de Sagres/Fortaleza de Sagres’ invites you to stay in Sagres after the Festival to take part in the Intergenerational Climate Dialogue, which will take place from 5 to 6 October 2026.
This event will bring together heritage professionals, policy-makers, researchers, young people and local residents to explore how cultural heritage can contribute to climate action and resilience. The programme will combine presentations by experts, participatory workshops, site visits and opportunities for exchange, encouraging participants to link ideas to local practice and experience.
Held as part of the EU-funded European Heritage Hub, led by Europa Nostra and organised by partner ICLEI Europe, in collaboration with the European Heritage Label Bureau and Youth.Heritage.Europe, the event is designed to promote dialogue across generations and sectors, whilst highlighting the role of heritage in addressing current environmental challenges.
The Sagres Promontory, where cultural heritage, biodiversity and spectacular coastal landscapes converge, provides an ideal setting for these discussions. The presence of students and representatives from local associations and other stakeholders will greatly enrich the debates and help to strengthen the links between heritage, environmental management and public policy.
