Birdwatching on the beach

Birdwatching on the beach - Full

Join us in a short walk along the beach. With the help of an expert, you will discover some of the birds that you can find in the intertidal zone, getting to know where they come from and curiosities about how they explore one of the most dynamic habitats of our planet. You will also learn about some citizen-science projects that can help us to monitor our amazing, but extremely sensitive, coastal area and its biodiversity.

This activity is part of the project “Citizen Science – involving volunteers in monitoring bird populations”, promoted by SPEA in partnership with Wilder – Rewilding your days and the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA). It is financed by the Citizens Ativ@s/EEAGrants Program, a fund managed in Portugal by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Bissaya Barreto Foundation.
