In this workshop we will do a general introduction to birds of prey (general characteristics, evolution, diversity and ecological importance of birds of prey) and basic techniques for their identification (behaviors, silhouettes, dimensions, flight characteristics, distribution and habitat).
Then we will focus on the identification of birds of prey in Portugal (species, variations in plumage, determination of age and characteristics of their biology and ecology) and in the end there will be a field trip to observation of birds of prey in Cabranosa.
This activity is facilitated by Bruno Herlander Martins.
It is advisable that all participants have at least their own binoculars.
