Not only birds migrate—plants do too, often with the aid of birds and other animals. Which plants grow across mainland Portugal and its islands, have medicinal, edible or ornamental uses, and are even considered invasive in some cases? This workshop will introduce participants to plants such as hydrangeas, lemongrass, Mexican tea, nasturtiums, edichium and other members of the ginger family, sugarcane, coffee, tea and other camellias, while sharing their stories, their medicinal uses, and the ways in which they have influenced many cultures.
