Summary:

Bioacoustic studies the relationships among animals, their acoustic environment and the impact of anthropogenic noise. In this activity you can discover the importance of bioacoustics and how to analyze the sound that surrounds us.

Description:

We will start with a lecture about the basic concepts in acoustics, recording methods, some methodology for studying animal behavior, and also methods of automatic detection and recognition. Then we will analyze underwater soundscape in the Baleeira Harbor using hydrophones and recording hardware.
