Description: RIAS - Centro de Recuperação e Investigação de Animais Selvagens da Ria Formosa (Quinta de Marim, Olhão, PNRF) is a wildlife rehabilitation center, whose main purpose is to receive and to treat wild animals, either injured or debilitated, and return them to their natural habitat. The recovered animals releasing moment is the result of the, often lengthy, recovery process, being a privileged moment to interact with local populace and tell them about the work of the wildlife recovery centers and also the species that exist in our country. Thus, RIAS hereby invites all to be present in the releasing of a bird recovered in this center. This action will be preceded by a brief explanation of the ecology and biology of the species and about the work carried out by RIAS.
